SW Series Bench Scales

SW Super Washdown Bench Scales are designed to withstand the most demanding process conditions and high pressure, high temperature cleaning. With a superior IP69K rating of 1450 PSI at 175°F, a stainless steel frame, load cell and weigh pan, SW bench scales are ideal for food processing applications and extremely damp locations where cleanliness and sanitation are critical. Weighing modes include parts counting and a comparator function for check weighing applications, and the scale weighs in lb, kg, oz, g and lb-oz, with units that can be switched easily to suit the task in hand.

Specification

The SW Series is fitted with a clear 25 mm LCD display, making weights and counts easy to read even when the operator is wearing protective gloves or working from a short distance away. Every wetted part, including the frame, load cell and weigh pan, is manufactured from stainless steel and sealed to an IP69K protection rating, meaning the scale can withstand high-pressure jets of water at up to 1450 PSI and temperatures of up to 175°F without any loss of accuracy or ingress of moisture. Power can be taken from the mains or from an optional rechargeable battery pack, giving flexibility in wash-down areas where a fixed power point is not always close to the weighing position.

Capacity & Application

The scale’s parts-counting mode allows operators to establish an average piece weight and quickly count identical items, while the comparator function lets a target weight be set so that over- or under-weight batches are flagged automatically during check weighing, both of which are valuable in food production and packing lines. Because the scale can display results in lb, kg, oz, g or lb-oz and switch between them at the touch of a button, it suits multi-site operations and businesses that need to report weights in different units for different customers or regulatory regimes. Its IP69K-rated construction makes it particularly well suited to food processing, meat and dairy production, and other environments that require full washdown cleaning between shifts.
