Weigh Count Platform Scale
Our range of hire platforms is supplied with either a weight indicator or a weigh-count sample scale, powered from the mains or from battery depending on where the platform will be used. Various options are available to suit the hire job in hand, including ramps for easy access, stainless steel construction for hygienic or corrosive environments, and ATEX-rated versions for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
Specification
Each hire platform can be paired with either a straightforward weight indicator for simple weighing, or a weigh-count sample scale where a piece count is needed alongside the total weight, giving flexibility depending on whether the hire is for goods-in weighing, dispatch checks or parts counting. Units can be supplied running from the mains or from an internal battery, so a platform can be set up temporarily in locations without a convenient power supply. Where required, platforms can be specified with access ramps, a stainless steel frame and pan for washdown or corrosive environments, or full ATEX certification for use around flammable gases, vapours or dusts.
Capacity & Application
The hire range covers a wide spread of sizes and capacities: 2000 x 1500 mm and 1800 x 1250 mm platform scales rated to 5000 kg, a 1250 x 1250 mm platform scale rated to 3000 kg, a 1200 x 1000 mm “U” frame scale rated to 2500 kg, a 1200 x 100 mm beam scale rated to 3000 kg, and a compact 600 x 600 mm bench/floor scale rated to 300 kg, with divisions from 0.5 kg down to 0.05 kg on the smallest model. This range makes it possible to hire the right size and capacity of platform for short-term projects, seasonal peaks, stock-takes, or as a temporary replacement while a permanent scale is serviced or calibrated, across warehousing, manufacturing and logistics applications.
Approvals
ATEX-rated hire platforms are available where equipment is needed in hazardous, potentially explosive atmospheres. Phoenix Scales is a UKAS ISO 17025 accredited calibration laboratory and an ISO 9001:2015 and Cyber Essentials certified company. We supply, install and calibrate our hire platforms with UKAS-traceable certification available on request, and our engineers provide ongoing servicing, repair and re-calibration support to keep each hire scale weighing accurately throughout the hire period.
