WLB Compact Bench Scales

The WLB is a compact bench scale, extremely sturdy and constructed with high quality materials despite its small footprint. It is suitable for industrial laboratories and burdensome working environments, and is fitted with a standard weight and rapid calibration adjustment function together with a multi functional weighing programme. The WLB is CE-M approvable according to EN45501, so it can be supplied ready for legal-for-trade use where a certified weight reading is required.

Specification

The WLB is fitted with a 25 mm LCD display, giving a clear and easy-to-read weight readout even in busy laboratory or production settings. It carries an IP68 protection rating, the highest level of ingress protection commonly specified for weighing indicators, meaning the unit is protected against dust ingress and continuous immersion in water, making it well suited to wet, dusty or otherwise demanding working environments. Power comes from a built-in rechargeable battery, fitted with an external charger, so the scale can be used cable-free on the bench and simply recharged between shifts rather than relying on disposable batteries or a permanent mains connection. The rapid calibration adjustment function, checked against a standard weight, allows accuracy to be verified and adjusted quickly without a lengthy recalibration procedure.

Capacity & Application

Despite its compact dimensions, the WLB’s sturdy, high quality construction and IP68 protection make it suitable for demanding industrial laboratory environments and burdensome working conditions where a lightweight or delicate bench scale would not survive daily use. The multi functional weighing programme allows the same unit to be configured for different weighing tasks, and the built-in rechargeable battery makes it easy to move between benches or workstations as required. The CE-M approvable EN45501 option extends its use to applications where the weight result is used for trade, invoicing or other legal purposes, while the standard version suits general laboratory and industrial weighing where formal legal-for-trade certification is not required.

Approvals

The WLB is CE-M approvable according to EN45501, the recognised European standard for non-automatic weighing instruments used in legal-for-trade applications. Phoenix Scales is a UKAS ISO 17025 accredited calibration laboratory and an ISO 9001:2015 and Cyber Essentials certified company. We supply, install and calibrate the WLB range with UKAS-traceable certification, and our engineers provide ongoing servicing, repair and re-calibration support to keep the scale operating accurately throughout its working life.
