KPCN Assembly

The KPCN loadcell assembly kit range is used for mounting compression load cells from the CP/CPX series, supporting capacities up to 100,000kg and making it suitable for weighing silos, tanks and hoppers where a stable, self-aligning mounting point is required beneath a heavy vessel.

Specification

Each KPCN assembly has a body manufactured in stainless steel AISI 304 for durability and corrosion resistance, together with a centering plate that keeps the load cell correctly aligned under the vessel. Protection against electrostatic discharges reduces the risk of ignition in sensitive environments, and an anti-overturn system helps keep the vessel stable if it is knocked or subjected to uneven loading. A locking/bypass system allows the assembly to be secured in a raised position, which simplifies transport and maintenance, and a self-centering connection between the lower and upper plates makes fitting and replacing the load cell straightforward. The assembly also has great resistance to lateral forces and includes overload protection to guard against damage from sudden or excessive loads.

Capacity & Application

With support for compression load cells up to 100,000kg capacity, the KPCN assembly is intended for heavy-duty vessel weighing applications such as silos, tanks and hoppers in bulk material handling, chemical and food processing industries. An ATEX (X) version is also available for use in zones 1 and 21, or 2 and 22, extending the range to potentially explosive atmospheres where standard mounting assemblies would not be suitable.

Phoenix Scales is a UKAS ISO 17025 accredited calibration laboratory, ISO 9001:2015 and Cyber Essentials certified. The KPCN assembly and its ATEX-rated version can be supplied, installed and calibrated by our engineers with UKAS-traceable certification, with ongoing service and repair support available once the vessel is weighing in service.
