Phoenix Scales supplies a complete range of hazardous area weighing systems designed for use in ATEX Zone 1, 21, 2 and 22 explosive atmospheres, from small bench scales through to large floor platforms. Every system is supplied complete with the necessary ancillaries and certification, so it is ready to install and use safely in classified hazardous areas.

Specification

Our intrinsically safe ATEX scales and balances are approved for use in hazardous areas, potentially explosive atmospheres and corrosive environments. Each platform is built to withstand the demands of industrial hazardous area use while maintaining accurate, repeatable weighing performance, and is supplied as a complete system rather than individual components, reducing the work needed to bring it into service. All units are supplied as pre-configured systems complete with certification documentation, reducing installation time and ensuring compliance from the moment they arrive on site.

Capacity & Application

The range spans small bench-mounted platforms up to large floor platform scales, so whatever the footprint or capacity required, a suitable ATEX-rated weighing system can be specified. Typical applications include weighing in chemical, pharmaceutical, food and bulk processing environments where flammable dust, gas or vapour create a classified hazardous area. Systems can be configured with a variety of indicators and options to suit specific process or safety requirements.

Approvals

As a UKAS ISO 17025 accredited calibration laboratory that also holds ISO 9001:2015 and Cyber Essentials certification, Phoenix Scales can supply, install and calibrate this equipment with the appropriate ATEX and UKAS-traceable certification, plus ongoing service and repair support. We also offer ongoing ATEX inspection and maintenance visits to help keep equipment compliant throughout its working life.
