Defender Bench Scales

The Defender 3000 Hybrid bench scales are ideal for general weighing, simple counting and checkweighing applications in production, packaging, warehouse, inventory, shipping and receiving areas. The Defender 3000 Series features a simple, yet rugged design and stainless steel indicator with tactile keys, a multicolour backlit LCD display, and a built-in rechargeable battery, combining everyday usability with the durability needed for busy working environments.

Specification

The Defender 3000 uses a 7 segment LCD with a multicolour backlight, giving a clear weight readout that can be configured to signal different states visually. Operation is via an internal power supply with an included power cord, or the included rechargeable battery, so the scale can be used at a fixed mains point or moved around a site as needed. Standard RS232 communication is fitted, with optional USB device or Ethernet connectivity available for integrating the scale into wider data or network systems. Construction includes a stainless steel indicator, a 304-stainless steel platform, a powder-coated steel tubular frame, an aluminium load cell, and non-slip adjustable rubber feet, while a 150% overload protection design feature helps protect the load cell from accidental overloading during everyday use.

Capacity & Application

The Defender 3000 is supplied in a choice of platform sizes, 305 x 355 mm, 420 x 550 mm, 500 x 650 mm or 600 x 800 mm, so the platform footprint can be matched to the size of the goods being weighed. Supported applications include weighing, checkweighing, counting and totalization, making it a versatile choice for production, packaging, warehouse, inventory, shipping and receiving areas where more than one weighing task needs to be carried out on the same scale. The stainless steel platform and indicator, combined with 150% overload protection, suit demanding industrial and warehouse environments where the scale is in regular, heavy use.

Phoenix Scales is a UKAS ISO 17025 accredited calibration laboratory and an ISO 9001:2015 and Cyber Essentials certified company. We supply, install and calibrate the Defender 3000 bench scale range with UKAS-traceable certification, and our engineers provide ongoing servicing, repair and re-calibration support to keep each scale operating accurately throughout its working life.
