DFWX Hygienx IP68 AND 69K

The DFWX Hygienx is an AISI 316 stainless steel weight indicator with IP68 and IP69K protection, ideal for environments with high hygiene standards, designed to simplify cleaning and sanitization. Compact and rugged, it features an interactive RGB backlit display, and its multiple connectivity options make it a versatile weight indicator suitable for advanced industrial applications.

Specification

The indicator is built with an electropolished AISI 316 stainless steel case, offering both an IP68 and IP69K degree of protection so it can withstand full immersion and the high-pressure, high-temperature washdown routines used in food and hygiene-critical settings. Screws, knobs, cable glands and gaskets are specifically chosen for high hygiene requirement environments and meat and fish processing industries, reducing the risk of bacterial harbourage points. The interactive LCD display features RGB backlighting with 7 selectable colours and configurable light intensity, so different statuses or process steps can be signalled visually, and input is via a 21-key numeric-functional keypad. A tilting support bracket with mounting holes allows the indicator to be angled for the best viewing position, and the compact 170 x 200 x 70 mm case keeps the unit unobtrusive on a production line.

Capacity & Application

Configurable power-saving features help to minimise power consumption where the indicator is battery powered or where energy use is a consideration. A fully customisable weight string and customisable weight reading command, together with Modbus ASCII/RTU support, allow the DFWX Hygienx to be integrated into existing production line control and data systems. These features make it particularly suited to food, meat and fish processing environments and other hygiene-critical industrial applications where frequent washdown, integration with plant systems and clear visual signalling are all required from the same weight indicator.

Phoenix Scales is a UKAS ISO 17025 accredited calibration laboratory and an ISO 9001:2015 and Cyber Essentials certified company. We supply, install and calibrate the DFWX Hygienx range with UKAS-traceable certification, and our engineers provide ongoing servicing, repair and re-calibration support to keep the indicator operating accurately in demanding hygienic production environments.
