DFWX HYGIENX® IP68 & IP69K Multifunctional Weight Indicator for Hygienic Enviroments

The DFWX HYGIENX® is a multifunctional weight indicator built specifically for hygienic environments. Constructed from AISI 316 stainless steel and rated to both IP68 and IP69K, it is designed to simplify cleaning and sanitization in settings where hygiene standards are especially demanding. It is compact and rugged, featuring an interactive RGB backlit display, and its multiple connectivity options make it a versatile indicator for advanced industrial applications.

Specification

The case is electropolished AISI 316 stainless steel, giving it both an IP68 and IP69K degree of protection, so the unit can withstand full washdown, high-pressure jets and hot water cleaning cycles without risk to the internal electronics. Its screws, knobs, cable glands and gaskets are specifically selected for high hygiene requirement environments and meat and fish processing industries, minimising crevices where contamination could build up. The interactive LCD display offers RGB backlighting across 7 selectable colours with configurable light intensity, and a 21-key numeric-functional keypad is provided for entering values and navigating menus. A tilting support bracket with mounting holes allows flexible positioning, and the compact 170 x 200 x 70 mm footprint suits tight production line layouts.

Capacity & Application

Configurable power-saving features allow power consumption to be minimised where required, and the indicator supports a fully customisable weight string, a customisable weight reading command and Modbus ASCII/RTU communication, so it can be tied into existing line control, ERP or data logging systems. These capabilities, combined with its hygienic construction, make the DFWX HYGIENX particularly suited to food, meat and fish processing lines and other environments where regular, thorough washdown and clean integration with plant systems are both essential.
