EK Series Compact Balances

The EK Series compact balances, including the EK2000i digital scale, come with an AC adapter and a 5 year manufacturer warranty. Each unit features a backlit LCD display in a lightweight, compact design intended for laboratory weighing, so it can be moved between benches or workstations without the bulk of a larger analytical balance.

Specification

The EK Series is fitted with a 16 mm LCD display, giving a clear, easy-to-read weight readout on a compact bench top unit. It supports multiple weighing units, including grams, ounces, pounds, troy ounces, carats, momme, pennyweight and grains, so the same balance can be switched between the units most relevant to the material being weighed, whether that is general laboratory samples, precious metals or gemstones. The backlit display and compact design make it straightforward to read results and reposition the balance as needed, while the included AC adapter and 5 year manufacturer warranty give reassurance over long term running costs and reliability.

Capacity & Application

The EK Series spans capacities from 200 g up to 12 kg across eleven models, with resolutions ranging from 0.01 g on the smaller 110 mm pan models to 1 g on the larger 133 x 170 mm pan models, allowing a laboratory or workshop to choose the exact combination of capacity, resolution and pan size needed for its samples. The smaller, higher-resolution models suit precise sample weighing where fine readability matters, while the higher capacity models suit bulk material or component weighing where a larger platform and higher capacity are more important than fine resolution. Because every model shares the same backlit display and multiple unit selection, users can move between different EK Series balances without having to learn a new interface.

Every EK Series balance is supplied with a 5 year manufacturer warranty, giving confidence in its build quality and long-term reliability. Phoenix Scales is a UKAS ISO 17025 accredited calibration laboratory and an ISO 9001:2015 and Cyber Essentials certified company. We supply and calibrate the EK Series range with UKAS-traceable certification, and our engineers provide ongoing servicing, repair and re-calibration support to keep each balance performing to its stated resolution throughout its working life.
