Explorer Analytical Balances

The Explorer Series of analytical balances combine modern features and design elements to offer unmatched functionality in a line of high-performance balances unlike any other on the market. These smart and intuitive balances, and all of their intelligent features, simplify even the most complex laboratory measurements, making them suited to demanding analytical laboratory work.

Specification

The Explorer is fitted with a 145 mm full colour VGA graphic touch screen, larger than many comparable analytical balances, giving ample space to view results, settings and guided procedures clearly. It supports 17 multiple weighing units, allowing the same balance to be switched between grams, milligrams and other common laboratory units depending on the task at hand. The combination of a large touch screen and wide unit support is designed to make routine and more complex weighing procedures straightforward for laboratory staff, without needing to refer to a separate manual for every function.

Models & Resolutions

Capacity Resolution Pan Size
120 g 0.1 mg Ø 90 mm
220 g 0.1 mg Ø 90 mm
320 g 0.1 mg Ø 90 mm
1100 g 1 mg Ø 130 mm

Capacity & Application

The Explorer range spans from 120 g up to 1100 g capacity, with resolutions from 0.1 mg on the smaller, higher precision models down to 1 mg on the higher capacity 1100 g model, which also uses a larger 130 mm pan to suit bigger samples. This spread of capacities and resolutions allows a laboratory to select the exact balance needed for tasks ranging from fine analytical work on very small samples to slightly larger sample preparation and formulation work, all using the same touch screen interface and unit flexibility across the range.

Approvals

Phoenix Scales is a UKAS ISO 17025 accredited calibration laboratory and an ISO 9001:2015 and Cyber Essentials certified company. We supply, install and calibrate the Explorer analytical balance range with UKAS-traceable certification, supporting the documented weighing records many laboratories are required to keep, and our engineers provide ongoing servicing, repair and re-calibration to keep each balance performing to its stated resolution throughout its working life.
