GR100i Alpha Numeric Display
The GR100i is an alphanumeric graphic repeater with an RGB high luminosity LED matrix, ideal for displaying weight and operational messages. Depending on the connected indicator, it is possible to display weight with large digits or customisable operational messages, and RGB technology allows the displayed colour to be changed, including a traffic light function using red, yellow and green. Unlike the standard mild steel version, the GR100i has a stainless steel enclosure and an IP68 protection rating, giving it a higher level of protection for tougher, wetter or more corrosive environments.
Specification
The GR100i uses a stainless steel enclosure with an IP68 protection rating, making it suitable for outdoor use and for washdown or corrosive environments where a mild steel housing would not be appropriate. The RGB high luminosity LED matrix display measures 605 x 150 mm, and can operate in numerical mode, showing up to 6 digits at 110 mm height along with metrological icons such as stability, zeroing and NET indicators, or in alphanumeric mode, showing up to 2 lines of 16 characters at 42 mm height. Power is supplied via a 110-240 Vac connection, and the overall unit measures 688 x 250 x 57 mm. VESA rear fixings, using an M6, 100 x 100 mm pattern, allow the display to be wall or bracket mounted, and communication is via RS485.
Capacity & Application
The large 110 mm digit height in numerical mode makes the GR100i suitable as a remote weight repeater display where the reading needs to be seen clearly from a distance, such as from a crane cab, a vehicle cab at a weighbridge, or across an outdoor yard. Its IP68-rated stainless steel construction makes it particularly well suited to permanently outdoor, washdown or otherwise harsh environments where the standard mild steel GR100 would not be appropriate. The alphanumeric mode and RGB traffic light function extend its use beyond simple weight display, allowing operational messages and pass/fail or status signalling to be shown on the same rugged unit.

Phoenix Scales is a UKAS ISO 17025 accredited calibration laboratory and an ISO 9001:2015 and Cyber Essentials certified company. We supply, install and calibrate the GR100i range with UKAS-traceable certification, and our engineers provide ongoing servicing, repair and re-calibration support to keep the display and its connected indicator operating accurately throughout their working life, even in demanding outdoor conditions.
