Intercomp Dynamometers

Intercomp Tension Dynamometers are lightweight, compact in design for cranes, riggers, shipyards, construction sites, surveyors, inspectors and utilities, and are cost-effective, wireless, overhead load management devices. When working around overhead loads or near line tensions, accuracy and safety cannot be compromised. The TL8500™ Series Tension Link scales from Intercomp are the industry standard for verifying, controlling and monitoring overhead loads and line tension while helping to maintain a safe work environment.

Specification

These tension links, with a self-contained LCD display, are machined from aircraft-grade aluminium with shock-mounted electronics in a NEMA 4x/IP65 weatherproof enclosure, giving a rugged, lightweight construction suited to outdoor and site-based lifting work. Standard features include an easy-to-read 30 mm LCD display with backlight and fully integrated wireless communication, so readings can be monitored remotely rather than only from the unit itself. Alkaline batteries provide up to 300 hours of power, giving long working periods between battery changes even on extended jobs.

Capacity & Application

Intercomp’s Tension Link scales are built to last, in capacities ranging from 500 lb (250 kg) to 300 tons, allowing the right link to be chosen for anything from lighter rigging and inspection work up to heavy overhead lifts. This wide capacity range, combined with the lightweight, compact design, makes the range suitable for cranes, riggers, shipyards, construction sites, surveyors, inspectors and utilities, wherever overhead loads or line tensions need to be verified, controlled and monitored safely. The wireless communication and backlit display support monitoring the load from a safe distance rather than requiring an operator to be positioned close to the load itself.

Approvals

Phoenix Scales is a UKAS ISO 17025 accredited calibration laboratory and an ISO 9001:2015 and Cyber Essentials certified company. We supply, install and calibrate Intercomp Dynamometers with UKAS-traceable certification, and our engineers provide ongoing servicing, repair and re-calibration support to keep each tension link reading accurately throughout its working life.
