QW IP68 Waterproof Indicator

The QW from Excell is an IP68-rated stainless steel weighing indicator with a large 55mm LCD display and a cool white backlight, designed to remain clearly readable and fully protected in wet, dusty or misty working environments. Power comes from an internal rechargeable battery offering up to 80 hours of continuous use, charged via a standard 110/240V AC power lead.

Specification

The indicator has an extra-large 175 x 70mm, 6-digit display with 55mm high digits, using an LCD with cool white LED backlighting for excellent visibility in bright or low light conditions. It is fitted with an RS232 interface plus a real time clock (RTC) for data logging and timestamping, and the housing is manufactured from 304 stainless steel to resist corrosion in washdown or industrial environments. The IP68 rating means the indicator is mist-proof, waterproof and dustproof, so it can be mounted outdoors or in areas that are regularly hosed down.

Capacity & Application

Because it combines a rugged IP68 stainless steel housing with a large, easy-to-read display, the QW indicator is well suited to washdown areas, outdoor installations and industrial sites where standard indicators would be damaged by water, dust or airborne contamination. The RS232 and RTC interface also make it suitable for applications where readings need to be logged, timestamped or passed to a PC or printer, such as goods-in weighing or process control.

Phoenix Scales is a UKAS ISO 17025 accredited calibration laboratory, ISO 9001:2015 and Cyber Essentials certified. This indicator can be supplied, installed and calibrated by our engineers with UKAS-traceable certification, with ongoing service and repair support available once it is in use.
