The TPWI HYGIENX is a high-end pallet truck scale designed for the food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries and for other wet working environments where high standards of hygiene are essential. Made entirely of stainless steel, it is designed to be fully sanitised using high-pressure water jets, so it can be washed down as thoroughly as the rest of the production area without risk of damage or corrosion.
The truck is resistant to washing with high-pressure hot water jets and uses non-toxic hydraulic oil suitable for the food industry, reducing contamination risk in the event of a leak. It is built as standard with four IP69K-certified stainless steel Dini Argeo load cells for high weighing performance, and the weight indicator itself is housed in an IP69K stainless steel waterproof enclosure that is easy to clean and resistant to harsh, corrosive environments. Results are shown on a large, high-contrast 25 mm LCD display that remains legible in low light conditions, and the truck is powered by a built-in rechargeable battery offering a long battery life of up to 100 hours between charges.
By combining a standard pallet truck with an integrated hygienic weighing system, the TPWI HYGIENX allows pallets to be weighed as they are moved rather than requiring a separate trip to a static scale, saving time in busy hygienic production and distribution areas. Its all stainless-steel construction and IP69K-rated components make it particularly well suited to chilled and frozen food production, dairies, breweries, pharmaceutical manufacturing and other environments where equipment must withstand frequent high-pressure washdown without compromising weighing accuracy.
The TPWI HYGIENX is built around IP69K-certified load cells and an IP69K-rated indicator housing, giving it a high level of protection against water and dust ingress suited to demanding hygienic environments. Phoenix Scales is also a UKAS ISO 17025 accredited calibration laboratory and an ISO 9001:2015 and Cyber Essentials certified company. We supply, install and calibrate the TPWI HYGIENX with UKAS-traceable certification available on request, and our engineers provide ongoing servicing, repair and re-calibration support to keep it weighing accurately throughout its working life.
